MTTC College was founded in 2019. Charlene graduated with a 4-year architecture degree but realized there was a gap between university education and practical skills. She decided to focus on hands-on learning, helping students gain job-ready skills and attracting industry professionals to teach. A developer once asked Charlene if there were talents with specific skills but without academic qualifications. She then spent three years obtaining JTK certification to launch the program.
MTTC offers a 2-year diploma-free program, with 70% practical training to match industry needs. Course content is continuously updated with technology and AI developments. The main target group was students aged 16–18, but Charlene later launched STEM Academy (ages 7–15) to nurture creativity earlier.
The college is located near Bukit Timah and the Singapore Second Link, attracting many students from Singapore. Some parents initially misunderstood technical education. MTTC changed this perception through graduates’ successful employment stories.
